About Opportunity

The Energy Efficiency Challenge is a new, exciting and innovative programme that wishes to recruit volunteers in the 50+ age group who have a genuine interest in helping others. These volunteers will be deployed within their respective local areas to help bring energy advice and information to those who are housebound, vulnerable, isolated at risk and most in need to have warmth, and efficient home heating and insulation. This will be imported through a team of volunteers, guided by an Energy Champion and overseen by the CSV-RSVP Development Officer. Volunteers will be given accredited training and will be able to carry out energy audits and advise on how to improve home energy efficiency. This advice will not only help make a very positive difference to people's lives at home, it will impact globally on the environment, reducing GHG. A worthwhile and life improving challenge for today and tomorrow.
