About Opportunity

We have many different roles for our volunteers at the Machan Trust. If you are free during the day we run '324' clubs and a lunch group. If night time suits you better we run an Ashgill Youth Group on a Tuesday, Badminton on a Wednesday & Thursday, Drama on a Monday & Thursday, a Girls Group on Wednesday & Friday night, plus Football on a Monday, Friday & Sunday afternoon. Alongside these clubs we also hold holiday programmes and are always looking for new volunteers to help with these. We primarily work with children and young people aged 8-18 in the areas of Larkhall, Ashgill, Netherburn and Stonehouse. We aim to build trusting relationships in order to build self esteem and providing support. For more information please visit our website (www.themachantrust.co.uk) and look at our 'What’s On' page for times and days of activities. Also Street Work on Thursday and Friday evenings.
