About Opportunity

Trustees are responsible for the scheme's vision, for leading the strategic direction, for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, the performance and quality of the scheme and for ensuring that it operates within the Home-Start Agreement. Being a Trustee can be hard work but it is rewarding, giving opportunities for personal development and the chance to give something back to your local community.

About Home Start Lorn

Home-start offers support, friendship and practical help to families with at least one child under 5 years of age to prevent further breakdown or crisis. Home-start recognises that parents play the key role in building a happy and secure childhood. This is why our volunteers, all of them parents, offer family support when it really matters, visiting parents and children in their own homes.

Skills & Experience

You do not need special qualifications to be a Trustee - common sense, an ability to work as part of a team, and an understanding of the pressures facing parents today are just as important.
