About Opportunity

Volunteers are required for general advice work within the bureau, for home visits, and for the provision of advice at outreach 'clinics'. We hold regular training programmes for new volunteers. Volunteers do not need to have any previous experience but should have the ability to work within the aims and principles of the service, including the equal opportunities policy. They should also be able to read and write. Training and Induction Details

We run several in-depth training programmes per year for new volunteers: one day per week for 12 weeks, from 10am to 2.30pm. You will complete this course before beginning your volunteer advisor role.

Frequency & Commitment

After training there's a MINIMUM commitment of 6 hrs per week (usually two 3hr sessions or one 6hr) during the following: Mon - Fri: 8.30am - 5.00pm.
