About Opportunity

Volunteers are required as visitors - to listen to victims of crime, giving practical and emotional support, helping victims at court, completing forms for compensation. Volunteers are an integral part of Victim Support, and historically support has always been supplied on a voluntary basis. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? Volunteers should have a desire to help others, be non-judgemental and able to keep information of a confidential nature, have the ability to listen and help victims.

Travel Details

Although office is based in Govanhill, visitors can in fact work in the all of the South area.

Training and Induction Details

Initially there will be a foundation course, over two weekend. After probationary, and suitable time period volunteers can train in dealing with Rape, Sexual Assault and Murder.There is also training from external agencies. Volunteer can access the co-ord
