About Opportunity
Leonard Chesire Disability Glasgow is keen to recruit volunteers who want to help make a difference to people who experience various learning and physical disabilities and as a result have less opportunities open to them to live the life they choose. Volunteers enhance the work of paid members of staff, they dont replace them. No particular skills are required, there is opportunity for volunteers to discover and develop new skills, by working side by side with members of staff. Volunteers should hold a clean driving licence and be able to drive our own minibus to outings, and also act as a escort when reaching our destination.Training courses are also available.volunteers can make a difference between having a 'normal life' and having a fillfilling life for our clients, and it’s a gain from both sides. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? You should contact us ideally by phone, in writing or email [using the contact details on the right/select the REGISTER INTEREST button]. If you do not receive a response from us in 5 working days, please contact the Volunteer Centre.
