About Opportunity

Working with a diverse range of children and youths up to the age of 16, you will assist the youth team with; activities at the youth groups, environmental projects, external events to promote the services, production of newsletters, liasing with other external organisations to provide a range of services to the community. A perfect volunteer would be someone who is outgoing, has good organisational skills, someone who can emphathise with people - the work will involve dealing with the most vulnerable members of the community - from youths aged 8-11 with the possibility of volunteering 14-16 on Friday nights.

We're a housing association undertaking a wider action project to bring services to the community we serve such as: advocacy (Lighthouse Foundation), welfare rights & debit advice, youth groups, IT training, adult literacy & numeracy and employment advice (CEIS)

Skills & Experience

Enthusiastic, non-judgemental with an open attitude, forward looking, upbeat, genuinely likes working with young people, IT skills a bonus but not essential.
