When We Need You
From 15/02/2007 onwards
This role involves talks educating a wide range of people on deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus. Tasks include becoming familiar with the range of RNID information and local services, answering questions from the audiences and distributing relevant information leaflets.

Skills & Experience
Enthusiastic, confident about speaking to groups, knowledge of willingness to learn about issues effecting deaf and heard of hearing people.
Talks will be organised in local area. Must be able to travel to Glasgow or Edinburgh for training.

Training and Induction Details
Modular induction to RNID, Deaf and Disability Awareness training and communications tactics, Volunteer Management training. Day to day support from Volunteer Co-ordinator
Advice / Information giving
Mileage rate is 25p per mile paid along with other expenses by cash or cheque
Frequency & Commitment
Events can be organised to fit around volunteers schedule.
