About Opportunity
A volunteer host is committed to providing a young person with a warm welcome and evening meal, a bed for the night in a room of their own and breakfast the next morning. The host will also listen to the young person and will offer immediate support and encouragement but we do not expect them to provide counseling or professional help. All hosts for nightspot are volunteers who have been through a careful selection and training process and are checked by Disclosure Scotland. All training will be provided at flexible times to suit you and all expenses will be reimbursed. Expenses will also be given to cover the cost of the young person staying for the night. Nightspot also offers a 24hr on call telephone service for support and advice. Host will also be invited to ongoing training and all events organized by Nightspot. Volunteer hosts involved in Nightspot will be making a real difference to young people's lives in preventing homelessness from occurring.
