About Opportunity

Before starting with us we would need to run a disclosure check. We do offer extensive training within this field in issues from sexual abuse to self harm, and as we are managed by Quarriers and affiliated to the Princess Royal Trust we have an extensive amount of reference and training.

About Young Carers

Young Carers are children and young adults 8 - 18, who find themselves in a role of responsibility for the care of another person. Our job is to help support their emotional needs, advocate for them with schools or other multi agencies, and also to give them respite and days out and fun times and give them a much needed break from their caring roles.

Skills & Experience

They need to be understanding, a good listener, non-judgmental, with a good sense of humour and able to keep a professional balance. No previous experience necessary.

Travel Details

This opportunity takes place in and around Oban, not more than a 15 mile radius from Oban.

Training and Induction Details

Quarriers would need you to undertake a two day child protection introduction course and there would be further ongoing training for this as long as you worked with us.
