About Opportunity

Volunteers would be responsible for assisting with the running of a busy fundraising office. The exact duties will vary according to the time, but will include data entry, admin support, dealing with the public, cash-handling, production of fundraising materials, literature and research. This would suit someone looking for a longer term volunteering opportunity, with potential for the areas of responsibility to grow along with experience. The times for this role are flexible, and can be done to suit your availability.

About Sue Ryder Care

Sue Ryder Care is one of the U.K.'s largest providers of hospice and neurological care. We have 17 care centres. Six of the care centres care for people with disabilities.We have considerable knowledge /expertise in looking after those with neurological conditions particularly Huntington's Disease. The Aberdeen Centre is our first purpose-built facility and was designed with the help of people living with neurological conditions. We aim to focus on a person's wellness not illness and abilities rather than disabilities. A Community based service of excellence - care that liberates lives.

Skills & Experience

Good interpersonal and organisational skills and an ability to talk to all kinds of people. Cash-handling skills would also be useful.

Travel Details

This opportunity is based at our neurological care centre in Kincorth. There are good bus links with a bus stop right outside. Parking is also available.
