About Opportunity
ENABLE Glasgow aims to enable people with learning disabilities to get the most from life. We recognise that an integral part of personal fulfilment and development lies in the right to pursue an active social life. We are looking for volunteers to help support people with learning disability at our popular day and evening club facilities. Our social clubs enable people to meet up with their friends, play pool, darts, snooker, table tennis and take part in activities such as disco dancing, arts and crafts, and bingo. They provide the setting for regular social and leisure activities with a view to kick starting people’s independent social lives. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and have a positive attitude towards people with learning disability. Full induction training as well as access to further training opportunities and travel expenses is provided. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN THIS OPPORTUNITY, the next step is to arrange to meet with you informally, after completion of an application form. Contact us using the details on this page/select the REGISTER INTEREST button.
