About Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for people who enjoy working with people or are interested in a career in social care or social work. The Thomas Fortune Work Centre is a training for employment project offering 70 placements to people with learning disability from all over the city. Based in Drumchapel the Centre’s key aims are to enable people to develop essential life skills, promote personal development and encourage people to take an active role in the community. Volunteers would play a supporting role in delivering a training/supported employment service to adults with learning disability and make a positive contribution to service users’ personal and vocational development. Tasks might also include assisting with group work and supporting people to attend college courses. Full induction training and access to further training opportunities as well as travel expenses are provided. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN THIS OPPORTUNITY, the next step is to arrange to meet with you informally using the contact details on the right/select the REGISTER INTEREST button
