When We Need You
From 12/07/2007 onwards
The project is open 7 days. Hours are 8am until 8pm on weekdays and we open from 12.30 until 4.30 on weekends. You would be involved in serving hot and cold refreshments to staff, visitors and patients and the role also involved stocking shelves, operating tills, and general housekeeping. We can provide training for you so experience is not essential. We have a friendly team of volunteers who have a fun and rewarding experience whilst serving and helping others. To offer a service to patients and the general public by means of a shop in the hospital concourse.
Skills & Experience
People skills, honesty, willing to work hard, keen team players reqired. Reasonable level of fitness needed.
Gartnavel General Hospital is easily accessible by public transport. Expenses are reimbursed to volunteers.

Training and Induction Details
On site training using induction plan. Volunteers are supported in learning how to operate the coffe machine and hot grills.
Mileage for car users and public transport tickets will be paid monthly by bacs in arrears.

Frequency & Commitment
Minimum 4 hours per week. 4 hourly shifts are the norm, although we can be flexible to suit your availability.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
