About Opportunity

Instructors in the Air Training Corps help to develop the young people within the organisation by filling a wide variety of roles, from classroom tuition to hill walking and sports coaching. There are no special skills required as help will be given to any new instructor to fill the role they feel best suited for. The Air Cadets have no upper limit on the age for joining, but you do have to be a minimum of 20 years old to be a member of staff. The greatest reward in seeing the difference you can make to the lives of the young people in the organisation. As an Instructor your travel expenses are paid. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? You should contact ATC for information ideally by phone or email using the contact details on the right/select the REGISTER INTEREST! button. If contacting us by email, please include a postal address so we can send information directly. If you do not receive a response within 2 days please contact the Glasgow Vounteer Centre. After submitting the completed application form, an interview will follow. It generally takes around 4-6 weeks after you contact us to get you started.
