About Opportunity
Volunteers are given a comprehensive training, support from a mentor and the other volunteers in the branch. There will also be opportunities to be involved in other branch activities such as publicity, schools talks, prison etc.

About Samaritans
To be available 24 hrs a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or dispair, including those which may lead to suicide. To help create a stronger less isolated society in which fewer people die by suicide, people are able to explore their feelings and to acknowledge and respect the feelings of others.
