About Opportunity

Work with WEB staff assisting in the day-to-day running of the project: - plan education sessions/games for drop-ins and school sessions - help workers with special events, such as community clean-ups - carry out street work - create posters and leaflets Work with young people on fundraising ideas to help raise money for new resources (e.g. books, leaflets, videos, games etc.) and run activity programmes during the school holidays. You will be presented with a certificate of recognition for every 100 hours you volunteer. However, we would be delighted to have your help for just 2-3 hours per week on a Monday or Thursday evening.

About The Web Project

Thw WEB Project works with young people regarding risk behaviours for example drug use, unsafe sex and offending. We educate, train and support local young people to plan and deliver awareness-raising events and activities in their own communities. We run a daily drop-in facility where young people are invited in for informal chat and educational games and activities. 1-2-1 counselling is also available to those needing further support

Skills & Experience

Able to understand and relate to young people (10-24 years); have a good awareness of the issues affecting young people generally and, more specifically, in the Kinross-shire area; able to work as part of a small staff team; good organisational skills;

Travel Details

The project is based in 28 New Road, Milnathort, Kinross-shire. There is a Park and Ride based in Kinross town, which is two miles from the project. Due to working hours, your own car is recommended if you don't live locally.
