About Opportunity
As a volunteer tutor you will be able to: - undertake a tutor training programme. - undertake one to one or group tuition with adult learners in areas such as reading, writing, spelling and numeracy. -attend supervision sessions with learning shop co-ordinator -attend volunteer support meetings. -undertake ongoing training.

To deliver adult literacy and numeracy learning provision throughout Lewis and Harris.
Skills & Experience
Volunteers need to be openminded and be willing to learn and embrace the principles of informal adult learning.
Travel Details
The majority of the tuition takes place in Stornoway, but it can take place at community venues throughout Lewis and Harris. Any travel costs incurred by a volunteer are fully reimbursed.

Induction training is done over three Saturdays 10am - 4pm.

Public transport costs can be reimbursed immediately. Mileage rate is 45p per mile and can be claimed monthly.
