About Opportunity
It is an exciting time for JAM UK as we move forward to reach our goal to feed many children in Africa. Our overall vision is to feed and educate 1 million children each school day (currently feeding 450,000 per school day). Our volunteers will be asked to do a variety of activities which will involve, help organise fundraising events, street collections, help out with co-operate events, tin collections from shops and many more projects. As a volunteer you will have the satisfaction of seeing the end results when a project has been completed, with the pleasure of personal achievement. Our goal for our volunteers is to have a fun time whilst meeting new people and supporting each other. We want our projects to be exciting and not a burden, with that in mind we will have regular contact, support and encouragement. All our projects will be realistic and achievable, you will not be asked to do anything, which makes you feel uncomfortable. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? You should contact us ideally by phone or email using the contact details on the right/select the APPLY! button. If you do not receive a response within 2 working days, please contact the Volunteer Centre. After submitting the application form there will be arrangements to meet for an informal chat. It generally takes around 4-6 weeks after you contact us to get you started.
