About Opportunity
Volunteers work as part of a team staffing the charity shop Wed-Sat, 10am-4pm. Volunteers will be required to open/close the shop; accept offers of stock; sort donations;arrange to dispose of unsuitable donations; prepare donations for display; price items; serve in the shop as part of a 2 person team; deal with cash payments and cash up at closing time. Volunteers do not necessarily need to be able to do all of the tasks involved in running the shop.

About Dalbeattie Community Initiative
The Initiative was formed in 1997 with the aim of acting as a catalyst within the community, to respond to local needs and effectively reflect local priorities in order to promote and encourage the economic, social and physical regeneration of Dalbeattie and surrounding area. Developing a shared programme of action, and working in partnership with local community and local and national agencies.
