About Opportunity

Ward Volunteers will: - serve patients in the 20-bed in patient unit meals, drinks etc according to the Ward Volunteer guidelines laid down by the Voluntary Service Manager - keep the ward kitchen base clean and tidy consistent with environmental health guidelines - serving visitors and families of patients where appropriate - liasing with nursing and catering staff where necessary about patients' needs - comply with infection control procedures in place in the Hospice - comply with health and safety procedures, observing confidentiality and liasing with staff

Skills & Experience

Ward Volunteers are responsible to the IPU Nurse in charge/sister and will serve pateints, families, visitors etc. Keep ward kitchen base clean and tidy and comply with health and safety procedures at all times.
