About Opportunity
To inform and inspire interest and support for Cancer Research UK through talks given in your local community. Key responsibilities: To represent Cancer Research UK through regular speaking engagements Through these speaking engagements, to present a variety of topics including Legacy, Scientific, and Fundraising information about Cancer Research UK To record enquiries generated about Legacies and pass this information to the Volunteer Speaker Co-ordinator, who will ensure that appropriate contact is made. To address diverse communities and audiences of all ages bringing the work of Cancer Research UK alive To average a minimum of one talk a month on a flexible time commitment To undertake training devised by Cancer Research UK and aim for a high standard of efficiency, reliability and quality in all aspects of your contribution. To keep simple records of your talks for administrative purposes.

Skills & Experience
A proficiency in public speaking.An ability to recognise and source speaking opportunities in your own community. An ability to take materials and information available and give a presentation appropriate to each audience and occasion.
Travel Details
You will be home based representing the charity out in your community. You can choose to complete some of your tasks from our Clydebank Fundraising Office.
Restrictions
Cancer Research are looking for a minimum commitment of a year from volunteers.

Training and Induction Details
You will be required to attend a Volunteer Induction Workshop and then role specific learning desgined specially to support our Campaigns Ambassadors. Local Area Volunteer Manager will work with and support your for the duration of your volunteering.
