About Opportunity

Community Events Assistants help the community project worker run a wide variety of community events (including classes, social events like tea dances, open days and well being events) and help the business development manager run conferences and training events. Main roles include welcoming people, collecting money, serving light refreshments, ushering and preparing/tidying the venue Youth Events Assistants provide support with activities, events and trips for young people (PVG registration is required)

About CatStrand

The CatStrand is a new multi purpose arts and community centre located in New Galloway. It's main aim is to bring much needed activities, services and facilities to this geographically isolated area through a year round programme of arts and community events; a range of community services including a bus service, a newsletter, drop in advice sessions and free internet access; and to act as a hub for local tourism and heritage information. Catstrand is currently offering a number of different opportunities for volunteers of all ages to get involved with.
