(Barra) Telephone support worker/counsellor
When We Need You
From 30/05/2008 onwards
About Opportunity
SCIM are looking for people within your area to join a team of telephone support workers. We are currently expanding and setting up a telephone support network throughout Scotland to provide this much needed care. Without people working within local communities many women would be left without access to support or information about miscarriage and also about future pregnancies. All volunteers receive extensive training prior to working within the community. The training involves counselling-skills and SVQ qualifications within advice and guidance. Certification is provided by the Scottish Qualification Authority. If you want to learn skills, receive certification and be part of a national network of telephone support workers which improve the standard of care for women and families in scotland then this opportunity is available and offers on-going training.
