Volunteer Drivers (Langside)
When We Need You
From 26/06/2008 onwards
About Opportunity
Volunteer drivers are required to provide transport for clients to/from our groups/classes. Volunteers will need to use their own vehicles to pick up clients from their homes, drive them to the class location and return 1.5 hours later to pick clients up from classes and take them home. Volunteers can do a single or return run depending on their availability. The Administrator contacts volunteers in the morning to confirm pick-ups and to provide name/address/phone details and volunteers may be required to transport upto 3 clients per journey. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? You should contact us by phone, email or letter by using the contact details on the right/select the REGISTER INTEREST button and we will then contact you to arrange to meet for an informal chat at which point you will receive an information pack. Following this informal chat, if you are still interested our recruitment officer will forward an application pack and proceed with recruitment procedures. If you do not receive a response within 3 working days, contact the Glasgow Volunteer Centre. How soon you will start volunteering will depend on the return of references and Disclosure/police check.
