About Opportunity
As this role will involve access to vulnerable people an Enhanced Disclosure Check will be required Undertake initial and ongoing training and assessment to enable the service to be provided in accordance with appropriate service standards To work within the British Red Cross policies for health and safety, hygiene and infection control and to maintain a safe working environment at all times. To ensure that appropriate records are maintained in line with service standards and to treat all information given by service users and British Red Cross staff and volunteers as confidential. To uphold the Fundamental Principals of the British Red Cross Society and abide by the Equal Opportunities policy. Wear appropriate protective clothing and work wear as provided. To ensure that any equipment used during the journey (e.g. tail lift, harnesses, clamps etc) is used safely and in line with British Red Cross guidelines. To perform routine checks on any British Red Cross vehicle being used, recording any information in the logbook and reporting any defects/incidents to the Service Coordinator immediately. To ensure that the vehicle used for the service, including the driver’s own vehicle, is suitable and roadworthy. To work within the British Red Cross Child Protection and Protection of Vulnerable Adults Policies at all times
