About Opportunity

Active Schools Fife is looking for people to join their team who could lead or assist with walking groups on offer within the Active Schools programme. The main tasks of the work will look at the preparation of walking groups such as researching and risk assessing the routes involved, leading of the group during the walk and filling out registers prior to the walk. Sessions will include children and adults and may take place before, during or after school. Candidates must be of good health and able to walk for at least 20 minutes and be prepared to complete training (arranged for them) prior to starting in the post.

About Active Schools (VC)

Active Schools aims to make more children, more active, more often. Active Schools aim to raise awareness and the benefits of regular physical activity and offer a wide range of fun, inclusive provision for primary school children. Activities take place at after- school clubs, during holiday periods, at festivals and tournaments and during taster sessions in curricular time.

Travel Details

Children attending will be aged from 5 years old up to 11 years old and the schools involved in the programme are from the St. Columbus Cluster primary schools - St Serf's PS High Valleyfield, Holy Name PS Oakley, St Margaret's PS Dunfermline and possibly St Kenneth's PS in Balingry.
