About Opportunity
At our new shop in 67 Logie Green Road we sell to the public good quality secondhand furniture and appliances. All money raised is helping to make our free service more sustainable. By volunteering in this role you will learn/develop your skills in welcoming and greeting customers, advising and assisting them when making purchases. You will also learn and develop a range of record keeping and delivery planning skills. You will also be involved in selecting and displaying the items of furniture and in all aspects of merchandising. This will include selecting stock (furniture, appliances, pictures, mirrors and bric and brac) from warehouse for shop, organising a theme for the displays, and dressing displays. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, so please contact us to arrange a visit!

About Refurnish4less
Refurnish4less is one of a number of projects and services that are managed by Four Square Scotland. Four Square through its Services works towards preventing homelessness and promoting inclusion. Refurnish4less is one of its projects that provides practical assistance. The project collects donations of housefold furniture and domestic appliances which it then delivers to new tenants who have been referred to it as being in need of basic furniture.
Skills & Experience
Shop experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided. A friendly outgoing manner in dealing with customers, a willingness to flexible in your work is important.

Expenses Detail
We pay public transport bus tickets on receipt of a ticket. We pay £2 contribution to lunches if volunteer works over lunch period for a minimum of a 5 hour day.
