When We Need You

From 07/11/2008 onwards

About Opportunity

Home Start runs preparation courses to give you skills, and to refresh on the existing ones you gained from your own parenting experience. Topics we cover include child and parents needs, child protection, listening skills, and confidentiality. Once completed and you have had your Protecting Vulknerable Groups check passed, we match your skills with a family, to support them for one or two hours a week as when when suits both parties. Once a month you will feed back to the coordinator by means of a diary or report and every six to eight weeks you have a formal support and supervisory session for yourself.
