About Opportunity

Let's Talk Counselling Service aims to cover the entire Borders area and we require counsellors for all areas but in particular for Hawick, Berwickshire & Peebles. We intend to offer Youth counselling and Bereavement counselling so require counsellors with experience or interest in these areas. Our counsellors are volunteers that are either fully qualified or in the final stages of qualification.

About TLC Borders C.I.C.

TLC Borders provides a community counselling service known as Let’s Talk. The counselling is generic therefore covers many topics and the service is available free of charge to anyone living or working in the Scottish Borders. Clients are referred by statutory and voluntary agencies however individuals are welcome to self refer. The service operates a donation system to help with our running costs.

Skills & Experience

Either qualified or in final year of training.

Travel Details

We have premises in Galashiels but also aim to deliver the service at a variety of venues throughout the Scottish Borders.

Application Form, Induction/Training, Interview, Police Check, References

Training and Induction Details

Introduction to organisation, its policies & procedures and CPD relevant to the counselling field.
