About Opportunity

How will the role make a difference? The Fishermen’s Mission’s are launching a distinctive collection of very attractive pin badges that will be displayed in outlets across the country, including cafes, supermarkets, clothes shops, visitors’ centres. The aim of this new initiative is to raise thousands of pounds in support of the Mission’s caring work but as a small, cost-conscious charity with few paid staff we will be unable to achieve this aim without a team of dedicated local placers to position and look after the badges, A network of local placers could make a significant impact on the fundraising potential of the Yellow Welly badges. Description of activities to be undertaken: positioning badge boxes in suitable outlets under the guidance of the Regional Organizer visiting outlets on a regular basis to check boxes are still in position and to thank the owners/managers for their support removing boxes from unsatisfactory outlets and repositioning them emptying the boxes of donations counting and banking the contents HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? Contact us ideally by email, after completing a Volunteer registration form and returning to us. It generally takes around 3- 6 weeks for you to start volunteering. If you do not receive a response from the organisation within 6 weeks, please contact the Volunteer Centre.
