About Opportunity

There is no regular commitment and carers are chosen for sessions according to the audience. It can involve telling your caring story, being interviewed and answering questions. The theme is generally carer awareness and the rights and needs of carers. Initially, I meet the volunteer on a 1-1 basis. I ring when opportunities occurthat meet the skills, knowledge and experience of the volunteer. This is also affected by the location where the session is to take place. I then meet to plan the session. I am always at the session to support and co-present. This opportunity is for carers who want their stories and voice to be heard by the staff who shape and deliver services. Travel expenses are paid.
