About Opportunity
Volunteers will benefit from acquiring very good listening skills which support not only samaritan callers but are transferable to everyday situations once trained, there is an opportunity to be involved in outreach work eg talks, prison support and in the day to day running of the charity eg. fundraising, publicity, admin.

In the office at 19 Orchard Street, Falkirk. The premises are within easy reach of Falkirk Bus Station and Grahamston Railway Station.

Training and Induction Details
Trg. consists of 8 modules followed by mentoring for 6 months. During which time vols. undertake further trg. All vols. are expected to do 5 hrs.ongoing trg. each yr.which is provided.Support provided throughout mentor, leadership & othersamaritan.

Open days held monthly followed by selection event. 46 shifts a year of which 6 should be night shift (11pm-5am)and 6 twilight(10.30pm-2am) or early bird(6am-8.30am).Minimum 1 year after training.
