About Opportunity

Volunteers will identify their network of contacts-colleagues, children's school, fellow club or day-centre members etc and estimate numbers they can reach. Crimestoppers will supply that number of Basic Information Flyers. Volunteers will tell their contacts what the project is about, give them a flyer and ask the recipients to either give a hand-print in paint on an A4 sheet, draw round their hand on an A4 sheet or produce a hand shaped art work in any medium (photography, tapestry, collage, clay, woodwork, computer graphics etc) They can incorporate it into an existing project at school, college, youth club, art class etc or do it as an individual. They can get extra Basic Information Sheets if they realise their networks are wider than originally estimated. They will send the "hands" to crimestoppers by Mid September and prizes will be given. A selection of "hands" will become Crimestoppers posters.
