About Activity & Resource Centre

ARC day services provides personal development opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, with a primary focus on increasing access to community opportunities and empowerment.

Skills & Experience

Understanding and interest in learning disability and in supporting service users to enhance their skills. Volunteers also need to be interested in the project and in customer service.

Travel Details

Opportunity takes place at Activity & Resource Centre, King Street, Newton Stewart. Frequent A75 bus service to and from Dashwood Square, but there is a 15 minute walk from Square to ARC.

Induction covers essential health and safety procedures, learning disability awareness and selected council procedures.
