About Opportunity

Witness Service is a court based service that helps give practical/emotional support. We give advice on court procedures, pre-court visits, show court photographs, give practical help e.g. with expenses forms. We listen to concerns/anxieties and offer emotional support while you are here prior to, during and after giving evidence

About Witness Service Perth

Volunteers are required to provide practical/emotional support, information and asistance to witnesses and their families prior to, during and after giving evidence at court in accordance with Victim Support Scotland's guidelines and policies. We also provide court visits before the witness comes to give evidence. Can support witnesses who are vulnerable in court. Work as a team and sometimes on own.

Skills & Experience

Need to commit to one day (full day) per week. Be non-judgemental Have confidentiality Good interpersonal communicative skills
