Zero Waste Volunteer
When We Need You
From 16/06/2009 onwards
About Opportunity
This is a perfect opportunity for anyone with a passion for environmental issues. Volunteers will either assist an Aberdeen Forward Project Officer or if they are confident enough man a stall by themselves at different events throughout the year. The events and locations vary and include farmer’s markets, agricultural shows, Council run events and Aberdeen Forward lead events all around the North East. Volunteers will help spread information about the Zero Waste Scotland campaigns as well as Aberdeen Forward’s different projects and how they can help the environment and local communities. Volunteers can focus on a particular project such as the Grampian Real nappy project or the Master Composter Programme. Training and display and promotional material are provided by Aberdeen Forward. This is an important part of Aberdeen Forward’s activities and as Aberdeenshire is so vast we depend on volunteers to help us especially throughout the busy summer season when events are held every weekend in different locations.
