About Opportunity

Help to support ARC members working in a cafe environment. Duties to include helping support/monitor members doing a variety of tasks eg setting up tables (inside and out), laying tables and domestic tasks. Taking orders from customers, serving at tables, washing dishes, clearing tables. Dismantling tables etc at end of day. Use of cash register, cashing up, help with reading/writing requirements for members.

About Activity & Resource Centre

ARC day services provides personal development opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, with a primary focus on increasing access to community opportunities and empowerment.

Skills & Experience

Understanding and interest in learning disability and in supporting service users to enhance their skills. Volunteers also need to be interested in the project and in customer service.
