About Opportunity
Join our weekly team looking after a site of nature conservation in Toryglen. Including wildflowers, native trees and wetlands, we work to improve access and biodiversity. Malls Mire Community Reserve is a site of importance for nature conservation. We meet every week to take on different projects in Malls Mire, such as creating and improving pathways and access, managing the woodlands, planting wildflowers, and creating ponds. The team is a mixture of ages, genders and cultural backgrounds with different levels of experience. Please note this opportunity is only available to those living in Rutherglen or Cambuslang.

About Urban Roots
We are a small environmental and health organisation with a range of projects to our name including community gardens, environmental education, conservation groups and a fruit barra. We involve local people and volunteers in everything we do, and will always try to match a volunteer with what they want to do. We are based in Toryglen but will accept volunteers from Rutherglen, Cambuslang and other areas not too far away. People we work with come from right across the age spectrum, from different genders and a range of cultural backgrounds.
