About Opportunity
The volunteers would attend a committee meeting on a 6 weekly basis. They would be given an initial induction to determine what role they could contribute to within the management structure. Their contribution to the decision making of the day running of the project would be invaluable. We have completed our Business Plan & are looking at re-organising the project & increasing the services that we offer to the community so an increase in the Management is paramount. About Maryhill Mobile Creche
To provide good quality childcare, through a team of highly skilled childcare workers, for children from birth to 16 years, which enables groups & parents/carers within the boundaries of Maryhill & surrounding areas to participate fully in all aspects of community life. In partnership with these groups & parents/carers, we will actively promote opportunities for personal achievement to develop each childs capacity as a successful learner, a confident individual, a responsible citizen & an effective contributor within their own community & to society at large.
Skills & Experience
Experience of committee work an advantage but not necessary as training can be provided, knowledge of how finance works is desirable, dealiing with personel & a non-judgemental attitude essential
Travel Details
The meetings take place at our base at 35 Avenuepark Street, Maryhill. There are a few buses from Glasgow city centre to Maryhill & also from Clydebank & Bearsden.

Training and Induction Details
Initial meeting with the co-ordinator & capacity building worker to support the volunteer in looking at their role within the Management committee & identifying any training required. Using the skills & experience of GCVS in the training.

Expenses Detail
We will pay reasonable travel costs, phone calls. As a child care project we would offer a place in the creche which would be in the premises, while the person is at the committee meeting. Expenses cover for the childcare will have to be discussed
