About Opportunity
‘Credit Union Champions’ will be required to be trained in delivering information about Blantyre and South Lanarkshire Credit Union in the forms of possible presentations to groups, hosting information days, one to one consultations with residents and awareness raising of the credit union. This role will involve ‘Champions’ to travel to various areas of Clydesdale (rural South Lanarkshire) in order to provide these presentations and information days. Some examples of information the Champions will be required to give are: What is a credit union? What are the benefits of a credit union? How can people join? What products are available? The volunteer will be fully trained on all of the above.

About Blantyre Credit Union
A not for profit financial co-operative which provides a service to promote savings and loan services to members of the public in the South Lanarkshire area.
Skills & Experience
The volunteer would be required to travel independently. Training will be given for all other requirements.
Travel Details
This opportunity will take place in various community groups & organisations throughout Clydesdale (rural South Lanarkshire) e.g. Libraries, community centres and housing associations. Volunteers would be required to have their own method of transport and travel expenses will be given.

Training and Induction Details
Volunteers will be given an induction to the position and required training to initiate the work to be carried out, volunteers will be given regular support and supervision meetings where a personal training development plan will be completed.
