About Opportunity

Individual volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in youth work practice. Through positive engagement and interaction with young people and the community, the volunteer will break down barriers and help reduce marginalisation for learners and their peers. We are looking for people who have a passion for music, through playing or indeed listening, to give 3 hours each week to share their enthusiasm and to work alongside others towards developing young peoples' individual expression, confidence and self esteem.

About Strike a Chord Music Project

To engage with and facilitate interaction with marginalised young people and to create and develop opportunities for them to express themselves positively utilising mediums including music tuition, creative writing and voice projection in the wemyss villages and Buckhaven area.

Skills & Experience

Skilled in playing music and in developing musical learning with young people. Friendly, creative and open minded. Enthusiastic, patient and young person centred

Coaltown Village Hall, Coaltown of Wemyss Wednesdays, 7.15 - 8.30

Application Form, Induction/Training, Informal Chat, Interview, Police Check, References, Trial Period

Training and Induction Details

Releveant youth work essential skills training, child protection, health and safety, first aid as required.
