About Opportunity
This is a busy shop and we need people who can offer something extra special to keep our shop vibrant and successful. It's a great opportunity to learn about retail business.All our vacancies come with an opportunity for growth and training in retail skills. Choosing and spotting quality items for selling is paramount to our success, so the right people are key to the business. You need to have knowledge of current fashion/designer labels and high street stores to identify quality goods which make us a lot of money (this is part of the pricing process). You will be able to process large volumes of stock, use a steamer and tagging gun. This job can involve heavy lifting so a certain level of fitness would be an advantage. This job is very rewarding and fun as well as hard work at times. The clothes sorters are the core team and make things happen for Oxfam with their knowledge and flair.

About Oxfam Shop, Nicholson St
Oxfam is a Charity, it raises money in various ways but most commonly through its High Street Shops. The money the shops raise helps to overcome poverty and suffering in the world.
Skills & Experience
Someone who is label aware and knows the current trends, high street shops, and a possible idea of original prices of garments.A general enthusiasm for clothes and fashion is required.Also someone with a flair for design or could be trained to merchandise clothes and create window displays. Flexibility and honesty are important. Must be reliable! We need a certain level of commitment even if this position is a temporary opportunity for the volunteer.

We are at 120-122 Nicolson Street, Newington, Edinburgh, EH8 9EJ. Any bus from Princes Street - North Bridge.
Restrictions
Maximum age 75 (insurance). Physical fitness is important.

Afternoons - Monday, Wedensday and Friday's are the core deliver days. Mornings - Tuesday, Thrusday and Saturday. Two 4 hour shifts required per week.
