About Opportunity
Working as part of a team the volunteer driver would help organise the scheduling of the van to uplift offers of donated furniture from the public. We are often providing an alternative to dumping with people happy to see their furniture being put to good use rather than ending up in land fill. The furniture is then brought to our Warehouse/Showroom where we can carry out check, minor repairs and cleaning as required. Through working in conjunction with a variety of support agencies the furniture is in turn passed to those who can least afford access to new items. Service users can visit our showroom and when they have chosen their furniture we then provide a delivery service which often ends with their house being transformed into a home. HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED? If you are interested in this opportunity please get in touch with us using the contact details on this page. Alternatively you can register your interest directly using the Register Interest facility. If you do not receive a response within [1 - 2] working days, please contact the Volunteer Centre. [The next step is to make arrangements to meet for an informal chat] It generally takes around [7 – 10 days] after you contact us to get you started.
