About Opportunity
Forest Schools is a teaching methology from Denmark, which has been proven to work on children’s self-esteem, emotional intelligence and confidence, whilst engaging them in a woodland environment and reconnecting them with nature. At our club, we will be providing the children in a wide range of learning experiences, such as camp fire cooking, bush craft, tracking of wildlife, tree planting, coppicing etc. Part of these experiences will form the basis for the John Muir Award. As an Assistant Forest School leader, you will help us deliver these different activities, through supporting the main qualified leader(s). Full training and induction will be offered to all volunteers.
