About Opportunity
We require honest, reliable and friendly people to co-ordinate the placement and banking of funding collected through collecting cans. We need confident people to persuade shops and businesses in their local areas to place cans in their premises which will enable the public to donate. You will then be responsible for monitoring the cans, and collecting them when full. You will count the donations and bank them on behalf of our organisation. HOW TO GET INVOLVED: You can telephone us or email us using the contact details on the right/select the REGISTER INTEREST! button. We will contact you within 5 working days. If you don't hear from us within that time then contact the Volunteer Centre. We will then contact you for a chat and send you an application form, which you should complete and return to us as soon as possible. You should be able to start volunteering with us within 4 weeks of initally contacting us. This is dependent on the speed you return the paperwork to us.

About Guide Dogs For The Blind Association
To provide guide dogs mobility and other rehabilitation services that meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people.
Skills & Experience
We need honest and reliable people who are willing to commit their time and effort into helping us collect donations. You will need to be friendly and confident and willing to discuss the aims our organisation.
Travel Details
This opportunity can take place anywhere in Scotland. You can discuss the area you will cover with your Support Worker. The opportunities are flexible to suit the volunteers needs.
Restrictions
Guide Dogs Association for the Blind guidelines state that 18 years old is the minimum age for volunteering

Training and Induction Details
You will learn the policy and practice guidelines the Guide Dogs Association for the Blind adhere to. You will be given a named Support worker who will be available to answer any questions you may have.

If you incur travel expenses with this opportunity we will reimburse you (all expenses must be agreed in advance). Petrol costs are reimbursed at 40p per mile. Public Transport costs are reimbursed on production of valid tickets
