About Opportunity
• Supporting the Service Manager to ensure that we are able to meet requests for First Aid cover and training. This will be done through regular email, telephone and postal contact with volunteer First Aiders and Trainers. • Supporting the Service Manager to ensure that volunteers receive the training they need. This will be done by keeping the volunteer training register of interest up to date, sending out confirmation letters to volunteers and helping process post training paperwork. • Supporting the Service Manager with the processing of pre and post training paperwork for public courses. • Supporting the Service Manager with the processing of pre and post event paperwork for First Aid Duties. • Ensuring First Aid kit bags are available for duties and restocking them when they come back from duties. • Cleaning down the inside of the ambulance and restocking it after it has been out on duties. • Helping maintain stock control procedures for First Aid equipment and training materials. • Cleaning down training manikins after they have been used. • Participating in training and development programmes appropriate to the post including volunteer induction. • Upholding the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and abiding by the British Red Cross Equal Opportunities Policy. • Working within the British Red Cross Health and Safety Policy, following all health and safety related instructions, and maintaining a safe working environment at all times. • Working within the British Red Cross Child Protection

Skills & Experience
• Good interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively (in writing, by phone, face to face and by email) with other volunteers, staff and members of the public. •Good basic office skills including the use of Microsoft Office IT packages
