About Opportunity
• Do you like working with people? • Would you like to build up your work experience for your CV? • Do you enjoy helping the local community? The volunteer will support one or more of our outreach collection points in community venues. The task will involve receiving payments, recording transactions, banking money and some general administration work. Relevant training is given but basic IT skills will be advantageous. Our service is saving, affordable credit and budgeting services. Credit unions are owned by their members and mainly run by volunteers to provide an affordable and ethical financial service. We arrange for all volunteers who might come into contact with vulnerable service users to be disclosure checked. Volunteers’ legitimate travel expenses are reimbursed.

Skills & Experience
You will need a reasonable level of basic literacy and numeracy plus basic computer skills. You will need to like working with people and be keen to learn how to provide good customer service.
Travel Details
Our office is at 11 The Square, Cumnock, which is a few hundred yards from the Bus Station. Locations throughout the Cumnock & Doon Valley area. You will be expected to travel to them either by bus or by your own transport. We will reimburse travel expenses.
