About Cornerstone

Cornerstone was founded in 1980 when Nick Baxter brought together parents and professionals who were concerned about the lack and quality of services available to people with learning disabilities and their families. After opening their first residential service in 1982, Cornerstone has grown to become a leading provider of care for children, young people and adults with disabilities and special needs and now operates a variety of services throughout Scotland. Supporting over 1,200 people each year and employing nearly 1,500 staff and volunteers we are dedicated to providing individuals, families and communities with a better future.

Skills & Experience

An interest in arts and crafts is required and an understanding of learning disabilities would be advantageous however, the most important requirements are patience, understanding and a commitment to make a difference.
