About Opportunity
Various activities are available - these are dependent on the choice of the volunteer and the interest from the children in the particular school. These can range from football, badminton, tennis, basketball, jogging and golf to name a small selection. This is a rewarding opportunity to encourage activity amongst primary school children, introducing them to activity, with a view to pointing them in the correct direction to continue with the relevant activiity. The opportunity takes place within school grounds either in the gym or outdoors depending on the weather and activity. Training will be provided prior to the sessions with ongoing support from the Active Schools Co-ordinator throughout. This opportunity is flexible to suit, and interested volunteers should contact the Co-ordinator for further information to tailor the dates, times and activity accordingly.
